Pre OCIMF Vetting & Pre CDI inspections

The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF), the Oil Companies association, introduced their Ship Inspection Report Programme (SIRE) in 1993.  In the SIRE programme tank ships are vetted against OCIMF’s Vessel Inspection Questionnaire (VIQ).

To have good vetting records are important for tank and chemical ships. Many observations can be avoided by good preparations. To have an external entity visting the vessel for a pre-inspection a couple of days before a SIRE/CDI inspection is often a very profitable investment.

Vietnam Maritime Services and Consultants can visit the vessel a few days before the inspection in order to prepare the vessel for the upcoming external inspection.

Vietnam Maritime Services and Consultants can also assist trough the complete vetting process as Vetting Superintendents.
